Summer camps next year

Soccer camp

I think soccer camp is basically soccer. It is only soccer. My parents have to buy me all this gear like shin guards and good sneakers.  I'm going to bring Zeebs and Beezy. Mommy said I could have one bag for my bathroom stuff. Also,I'm bringing a few books and lots of clothes. I'm staying for two weeks.

Girls camp

Girls camp is where you do girl stuff. I'm going to stay for two weeks. I'm going to bring Zeebs and Beezy too. I'm going to basically bring all the stuff that I'm going to bring to soccer camp. 

My jobs

Doctor

#1 I want to be a doctor because I want "everybody" to be healthy. My parents say I should be a surgeon. I would also be a doctor because the salary is big. I would probably work with kids because kids usually kids cry and I'm not that good at comforting people so I could practice. I would want to work at a rich hospital so my salary can be extra large.

Author

#2 I want to be a author because I like writing. I want to write children's books because they're easier to write. I think I should write lots of series. I hope I can be one!

Teacher

#3 I want to be a teacher because teachers are usually very smart so I would have to study very hard. I would want to teach third grade because it sounds easiest. I hope it will be fun!

Stylist

# 4 I want to be a stylist because I like doing hair and makeup. I would do hair and makeup. I would want to do all different kinds of hair styles and colors.

Traveler

#5 I want to be a traveler because I like traveling. I would want to travel to at least 10 countries. I would want to travel to Spain, Argentina, and even Afghanistan. I hope I survive!

Party worker

I want to be a party worker because I love parties. I would want to work at many kinds of parties. Music parties, magic parties, and even comedy parties. I hope I don't get sick! 

California fun!

[I asked Jada to keep a daily journal during our recent trip to California.  Here are three of her entries, as typed by her.]

Entry #1 August 9th, 2013
Yesterday we went to Disneyland! We went with Uncle Young, Aunt Christy, and their kids. We went on millions of rides. I can't choose which was my favorite ride so I liked Indiana Jones. We saw the fireworks too. They were pretty but loud. I can't wait till we go next time!

Entry #2 August 11th, 2013
Yesterday we went to Santa Monica Beach! There were a lot more waves than Santa Cruz. I can't wait to go again!


Entry #3 August 12th 2013
Yesterday we went to Disneyland California Adventures. We met Donald Duck which was the only character I met.My favorite is a water ride. My least favorite was the Hollywood Tower of horrors. I can't wait till my next trip!

What I want to be when I grow up

When I grow up, I want to be six things.(Which is probably not going to happen.) I want to be a teacher, a artist, a author/illustrator, traveler, party planner, and a doctor. I want to be a doctor because the salary is big. I want be an artist and a traveler because I like them. I want to be a author and illustrator because I think they are interesting. I want to be a teacher because they are ussually smart and I want to be smart. I want to be a party planner because I love parties.

The Mann Music Center

I went to the Mann center again! It was awesome! This time we got box seats! We watched Fantasia! My favorite was when we watched a cartoon to some music from the firebird! I really don't have much to say but enjoy!

California!

I can't wait until we go to California! We are staying in a hotel. We are going to Disneylannd! The hotel has a heated outdoor pool and a buffet breakfast! I can't wait!

Living animals
Did you know a person named Flip Nicklen who was learning about orcas? (Yup. That's his real name.) As most people know, orcas are endangered. They live in all oceans and to see lots of them, you can see them when they hunt. Let's go to the best animal in the world. It's black and white and has cuteness all over. It's a zebra! Did you know zebras can kill lions? They live in Africa (Duh) and you can find them bassically find them anywhere in Africa. Let's learn about the blue footed booby. Did you know they can use each foot for a different purpose? One is for incubating the eggs and one for keeping them safe from the cold.

Living places
Did you know every second a tree gets cut down? Forests are very interesting. The biggest is the Amazon. Did you know swamps are dirtier than lakes? Swamp creatures are often very dirty.

The Mann Center

At the Mann Center is awesome! We listened to music and watched cartoons at the same time! My favorites were Brave, Wall-e, Nemo, and Rattoutuie. I'm glad we didn't see the freaky clown! We also had snacks, but if it weren't raining, we could of had a picnic blanket and lye it down. But it was still my favorite trip there!



Eating and exercising right

To eat right, you eat all the food you need. Eat fruits and vegetables every day. Eat grains and protein a little bit less than fruits and fruits and veggies every day. Eat a little snack once in a while. To exercise right, you should swim and run once in a while. Always walk from work and school in less it's far away. this is my lesson!



The zoo!

The zoo is awesome! My favorite part are the zebras!(Of course) We got to ride the swan boats, horses, and the camels! It felt like 16,000 degrees when it was only 90. I can't wait till my next trip!!



JD and Lena

JD and Lena are okay. By the way, thery're our friends. There coming this week to stay at our place. JD is sleeping in Aaron's room and Lena is sleeping in my room. I don't want them to mess up my stuff. I hope this is fun!

Dear zoo

[After we visited the zoo yesterday, we encouraged Jada to write a letter to them.  Here's what she wrote.]

Dear Philadelphia Zoo,

Please note that I love zebras. Please trim the plants a little so we can see the zebras better. I also want you to put a new zebra in the zoo. I almost cried when I found out that a zebra died. Also if you're not feeding them apples and alfalfa pellets, feed them it. Write down zebras RULE! Lions DROOL! (It's a joke!) Remember this please!

Maia S' sleepover

My friend Maia had a sleepover party! She invited me (of course) Talia, Ellie, Maya M, and a girl named Angela. When Angela came, we made badges. I made a zebra striped one that said BFF. We got to dress in Maia's clothes and we played some weird wedding game that Talia made up. Talia wanted to be pregnat for some reason with one of Maia's fancy dresses on. We also made up a play when me and Talia were at a prom. Maia and Ellie were roberts, Maya was in charge of the lights, and Angela watched and worked but I had no idea what she did. After we preformed the play we had dinner. (Now I remember we had dinner first and played life before dinner.) We also watched Madagascar 3. Then we played on the electronics for a little while. Then we played hedbanz. Then we watched Harry Potter and the Sorceres Stone or whatever it's called. In the morning, Ellie's stomach hurt and she threw up. At least none of us saw. Before she left, we got these things called hygergels. (Hi-jer-jels) Talia had to do Ellie's also. We had turkey bacon and pancakes for breakfast. After that, we danced and sang to the song Fireworks. I wanted it to be on Youtube but nobody liked the idea. After that I went home. For a bonus I got to go to Talia's house and she fell asleep and I thought it was supposed to be funner but it was okay. One of the best sleepovers!

I can't wait to go to California!

California is the best place in the whole wide world! We are going from August XXX to August XXX. On the XXX we're going there and on the XXX we're going home. We're visiting family and also going to a hotel with a all you can eat buffet breakfast and a pool in Los Angelas. We're going to Disney Land and I can buy stuff with my own money. We're also going to Disney California Adventures! I can't wait!

4th of July!

On Independence Day, we didn't get to see the fireworks but we got to go to Fairmount Park! I learned how to skip stones there by Daddy! I watched movies a lot while Daddy barbaqued. Last year we got to see them in California. This year was awesome!

What I'll remember about 2nd grade


What I'll remember: My teacher Ms.Waters. She gave us goodies once a week. I cried when I had to leave her. For a present, I gave her picture of me and a card. I'll also remember my social worker, Miss Lindsey. We always played games or made oragamis together. When we had to leave each other, we made picture frames of us. The last person I'll remember is my ballet teacher, Miss Evelyn. She was an awsome ballet teacher! At our last class, we played this cool imaginary country game. The first one was jumping land. Next was dancing land. Then it was heavy land. Last, was disco land. She was awesome! All my teachers were awsome!


In 3rd grade

In 3rd grade, I'm having Ms. Settles class. We're having PSSAs. I hope I do good on them. Daddy wants me to play an instrument. You can do a violin or a wind instrument. I'm going to think about wind because only 2 3rd grders did them. I can't wait till 3rd grade!


About summer camp

Summer camp is okay. We make forts that the big kids mess up on purpose. Me and my friend Ellie, play together most of the time. I sometimes do my teacher Miss Amanda's, hair. On Thursday, we he  popcorn chicken. I hope I like the rest of the summer!

The Watermelon Story

[For Jada's post today, I told her to elaborate on a fun story we made up yesterday over dinner.]

Want to know how to grow a watermelon in your stomach? Well if you do, here's a story about  it. Not to worry, this is a fiction story. If you want to hear the story, here it goes.


Once there was a boy named Charlie who loved watermelon. He loved watermelon so much that he decided to grow one in his stomach. So he got some dirt from his flower garden and swallowed it. Next, he got a watermelon and got the black seeds out and swallowed them. Then he drunk some water. Last, he opened his mouth to get sun.
 
A few months later, he got a big, fat stomach. You know what that was? It was the watermelon! He really needed to use the bathroom. So he had to get surgery. After the surgery, he went to the bathroom. When he got home, he cleaned the watermelon and ate it until he had to go to the bathroom again!

What I like to do with my family

[I told Jada that for her fourth post she should write three paragraphs about things she likes to do with her family.  Here's what she came up with.]

My family members that are living in my house are Mommy, my mother, Daddy, my father, and Aaron, my brother. We like to go on vacations like California and the Virgin Islands which we are doing this year. (We're still thinking about the Virgin Islands.) At the Virgin Islands, we usually go when Daddy goes for buisness. Mommy, Aaron and me go to the beach or go out for lunch while Daddy is at work. Last time we went to the Virgin Islands, we went on a boat from Saint Thomas to Saint John. One person found a sea urchin! In California, (which is my favorite state and place) we visit my grandparents. We go once or twice a year. This year, we are going to Los Angales.

 I also like to watch movies with my family. We pop some popcorn and watch! We once had a movie night. We watched Romeo and Juliet and after that, we watched a little bit of Pink Panther.We got some blankets and we ate three bowls of popcorn. It was awesome! Sometimes, Daddy watches something with me. ( He was peeking.)


It is fun to play board games also. When we play life, the kids usually win. We don't really play sorry but it's still fun. I haven't played monoply yet but I think it's fun. I have U-build sorry. It's real fun!! I also have U-build connect 4. I have the ladybug game which is awesome, and I have operation. All of them are really fun! Some of the other games that aren't board games are UNO, cards, and jenga. All the games I like are awesome, fun, cool, and nice!
       

What church is like

[I told Jada that for her third post she should write three paragraphs about what church is like.  Here's what she came up with.]


Church is like school. It's loud like school, you learn in church, and you have teachers at church. It's loud because we sing during morning service and in the toddler room it's noisy. We learn about God and the Bible. The teachers we have are Miss Carol, Pastor Julia, and other people. In drama class, I was a tree. Two other boys that were in my class came. Their names were James and Tommy. James was tree and  Tommy was a woodcutter. The play was awesome!

 
During children's worship, we hear a story, then we draw what it's about. One time we talked to Serie. I asked her " What does God look like?" She said " It is a mystery to me." We used to have snacks. We didn't  have snacks for a while. Then we had it two weekends ago. They were pretzel rods for the past two Sundays. Miss Carol is the teacher. Sometimes I draw whatever I want. A few weeks before Easter, we planted grass. On the day of Easter, Miss Carol put cross in the grass. ( I wasn't there to see it because I was in New York City.)


In the play, I was a tree, James was a tree, and someone else was a tree. Tommy, Aaron, and Josh were woodcutters. t the end, everybody had to raise their hand to the cross that was on the stage. After the play, everybody that was in the play got to pick something from the prize box! I got  fuzzy green scarf with a pop out angel. There were also piggy banks, cars, and other stuff.

Playing With Friends

[I told Jada that for her second post she should write three paragraphs about her friends.  Here's what she came up with.]

My friends are Talia, Ellie, Macariah, Claudia, Maya M, Maia S, and Leela. Lots of us are going to and had sleepover birthday parties. Ellie had one in January, Claudia had one in April, Maia S is going to have one on June, Maya M is trying not trying to do one in August because we are going to be in California and I missed it last year because I was in the  Poconos. I don't know if Leela is going to have one, and Talia is going to have one, I'm going to have one.


At school I sit with only Claudia ( because she is the only main friend in my class) Haleema, Yana, Olivia, and Katelyn. Maya M, Maia S, and Talia are totally perfect in the same class. Their basically BFF! Macariah and Ellie are okay in class. The past few days, they were playing with each other a lot! Last year, I was in Talia and Ellie's class. We were in Mrs. Bebian's class. We to split up because we played with each other too much. Macariah, Claudia, and Maia S were in Mrs. Naughton's class class last year. They always bragged how nice she was. For example: they always said, " She gave us candy every Friday!" Maya M was in Mrs. Sharp's class. She was best friends with a girl named Coco.       


At PIC, we always have these mini games. It's like a game when only 2 people make up a game. Me and Maia S made up a game called the traveling, me and Claudia have a game called saving animals, and me and Talia are making up a club. At the beginning of the year, we always play tag. But now, we play family. We are BHFF! ( Best Human Friends Forever!)

Hi! My name is Jada! I am very artistic and adventures. I looooooooove zebras!!(Well more than looooooooove) I will tell you about my family: my mom's favorite color is purple. She does lots of cleaning, singing, cooking, bathing, and a lot more  jobs. My dad on the other hand is very lazy, greedy, and sloppy. Daddy is very stinky! My dad is smelly, I'm fresh (In a good way)  My brother cries  every single day! His favorite animal is a spider monkey. Oh, and PS: My mom loves the Mutts comics in the newspaper so we sometimes call her Mooch because that's her favorite character.

I don't have many friends because I'm not very social. My main friends are Talia, Ellie, Macariah, Claudia, Maya M., Maia S., and Leela. At school, every one of my friends except Leela ( because she doesn't go to our school) play together (almost) everyday. Claudia is in my class, Talia, Maya M., and Maia S. are in the same class, and Macariah and Ellie are in the same class. In school, we have second grade activities. We always sit next to each other. BHFF! (Best Human Friends Forever!)


I looooooooove zebras(Look at top paragraph) (and more than looooooooove!) I love my family in a different way. I love my stuffed animal Zeebs,  traveling, art, music, The Voice, video games, sleepovers, birthday parties, pink, neon colors, playing with my friends, and my teachers old and new. I hate lions, homework, school, erasing, yelling, dirty looks, studying, practicing stuff, chores, (some) and some foods.
